Mark has recently joined Your Support Matters as an associate. He has worked in the Charity sector for over 10 years in a variety of roles including volunteering, volunteer coordinating, and charity management. Additionally, he has also served as a Trustee, on the board of a local disability charity holding the role of Chair of Trustees between 2012-2016. In his most recent role Mark worked for a local advice providing organisation and is keen to use this experience to help Your Support Matters continue to provide information and support to those who would benefit from it.

Mark has lived experience of disability having been born with Cerebral Palsy which effects all four of his limbs. This lived experience has allowed Mark to develop a detailed appreciation and knowledge of the challenges faced by disabled people on a daily basis. This lived experience has made Mark a passionate advocate of the Social Model of Disability and the principles of this being promoted throughout society.
