Professional Training
We provide professional training for people working across health and social care, as well as the commercial and not-for-profit sectors.
Everything we do is underpinned by person-centred approaches, lived experience and professional knowledge. We work alongside organisations to design training that is relevant, practical and grounded in real life.
Training for Health and Social Care
Within health and social care, we have developed bespoke training for social workers in a Greater Manchester locality. Participants found these sessions highly valuable, with many applying the learning directly to their day-to-day practice secondary to our collaborative design.
We listen with purpose to understand the unique challenges, gaps, and pressures professionals experience. By combining lived experience with professional expertise, we guide conversations that offer genuine insight into what it truly feels like to receive support.
We have also delivered intensive training to neurological consultants at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. These sessions focused on person-centred thinking, social care provision, and effective conversations to help professionals have a greater impact on the experiences of those they support.
Training for General Practice and Community Services
We provide training to general practices to help staff understand the role of a Personal Assistant when a person receiving support attends an appointment with their PA. This training can also cover person-centred practice and awareness of disability hate crime and mate crime.
Training for Commercial and Not-for-Profit Organisations
For commercial organisations, we provide workplace disability awareness training. This includes developing a better understanding of disability, improving accessibility and providing information about support such as Access to Work.
We can create bespoke training packages for organisations across health and social care, general practice, universities, commercial organisations and the not-for-profit sector.
University Guest Lectures and Partnerships
We offer a guest lecture programme for universities. Our lectures explore person-centred practice, personal assistance, lived experience and wider social care practice, as well as disability hate and mate crime.
